The Painter
Kevin L. Daniels is a figurative abstract oil painter, documentary filmmaker and photographer. He was born in Los Angeles, California in the mid 1950's and has resided in the San Francisco Bay Area since the 1980's.
The human figure is his recurring theme. Over the last three years he has been working on a long term family history painting series based on discovered photos dating from the Civil war to his family's migration to California a century ago.
Kevin credits his most influential training coming from years of life drawing sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area and for what he describes as living in museums primarily in the U.S and Latin America. He is a passionate student of art theory and history.
He completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Southern California and Saint Mary’s College of Moraga respectively.
His work has been acquired in private collections since 1995 until now.
